I LOVE THIS RACE! I can't even say it enough. Last year was my first year running it and it was my first "big" race. I had run one other race before- a smaller, local 5K in Ohio, so to run Gasparilla with thousands of people was stepping into the big leagues for me. I got so emotional as I walked towards the starting line this year, because for me, this is where it all started. What. A. Difference. One. Year. Makes. A Thousand Naked Strangers by Kevin Hazzard {Review}
I was interested in this book mainly because I love medical dramas. I live for Grey's Anatomy so getting to read anything that gives me a first person perspective from the front lines has my attention. For example, when I want to run at 5 am and it's pitch black outside or when it is 6 pm and the husband isn't home yet and I'm with the kids. I needed a way to not absolutely dread getting on my treadmill and I started thinking that maybe I was just using it all wrong. I think I was right. David starts … [Read more...]
